The initial setup with a deadlift is crucial.
1)Understand your body structure-All variations of the deadlifts have their own purpose and advantages.The purpose for which you’re doing your deadlift should be defined before deciding which one to practice(i.e. Sumo or conventional).
2)Grip the bar first, then tighten your lat and then try to bend the bar(this engages your lat)
3)Pull with your lat and not your arms.Arms are a connection to execute the movement.
4)When you’re performing for repetitions, always remember the cue to pull with your lat.
5)Remember not to loose the form when you put the bar down.Shoulders retracted,back tight.(not applicable for power-lifters).
